When Leaving is Not Always an Option: Safety Planning with People with Disabilities

Safety Planning with People with Disabilities will outline the unique needs of survivors of domestic and caregiver violence who have disabilities. This webinar will provide suggestions for outreach to increase services to and remove barriers in services to survivors of domestic and caregiver violence who have disabilities, specifically around safety planning. The facilitator will also identify concrete strategies for safety planning directly with an individual with disabilities and indirectly through their non-abusive support person. This session is designed for victim service workers wanting to work more effectively with survivors who have a range of disabilities and specifically with survivors with cognitive disabilities who still live in congregated.

Please note that credit (if available) is only provided to registered attendees participating at their own computer and phone.
