Community Corrections & Batterer Intervention Programs: Strengthening Partnerships to Improve Victim Safety and Offender Accountability

This session will explore ways in which BIPPs can build collaborative relationships with community corrections professionals to better hold domestic violence offenders accountable. The presenter will discuss the American Probation and Parole Association's guidelines for collaborative work between community corrections and batterer intervention programs, identify opportunities and strategies to improve partnerships, and will provide examples of promising practices for incorporating batterer programs into the community supervision process.
